2024 ELECTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOTICE OF BALLOT FOR THE ELECTION OF TWO DIRECTORS
As the number of nominations exceeds the number of positions to be filled, a Ballot is required for the election of: Two Directors.
Voting will be conducted in the Club premises on the following dates & times:
Thursday 17th to Friday 18th October 2024 11.00am to 7.00pm
Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd October 2024 10.00am to 5.00pm
Thursday 24th October 2024 11.00am to 7.00pm
MEMBERS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE:
Ordinary, Life, Senior or Concession Members who are Financial as at 5.00pm on Wednesday 14 August 2024.
Eligible Members must produce their current signed membership card in order to receive a ballot paper.
The following details have been provided by the Candidates and accordingly The Albury SS&A Club takes no responsibility for the correctness of the information contained therein. The profiles are presented in the same order as the Ballot Paper, as drawn by the Returning Officer. In the interest of fairness to all candidates, information has been limited to 100 words.
Matthew Burke OAM
My key strengths are Corporate Governance, Leadership, Strategic Planning, Business Management, Community Development,
Accountability and Stakeholder engagement. This is evidenced in my most recent role as Chairman of Albury Wodonga Health, and in the many other Chairman and Chief Executive Officer roles I have had. I also have a strong affiliation with the Ex-Service Organisations, such as the RSL (National and State), National Service Australia, and I serve on the National Board of the Australian Peacekeepers & Peacemaker Veterans Association, particularly as the NSW Representative.
Olivia McFarlane (Current Director)
I am currently a Senior Bank Executive & have worked in the finance industry for 24 years, holding senior regional and national roles, predominately in Regional and Agribusiness segments. I have been on the current Board since February 2021 & are keen to continue, as I believe my gender & finance background brings valuable skills to the Board. I have a Bachelor of Economics, Diploma in Leadership and & have completed the Company Directors course. I have 3 young children, are supported by husband Brent and I am passionate about regional communities and giving back to the local community.
Colin Darts (Current Director)
My name is Colin Darts OAM JP, and I have served the current board in excess of 10 years and have been part of the decision-making with its recovery. I am currently involved with Albury Legacy, Morgan Country Car Club and Albury Horticultural Society. I believe I have the skills to keep the SS&A Club moving forward as I was a successful business owner for more than 10 years. I am a financial member of the SS&A Club for more than 40 years. I seek your support for re-election so that the Club can move forward seamlessly.
