Albury Ground's Lights
Some good news from Hockey Albury/Wodonga regarding the lights for the grounds in Albury. They advise that the lights for ground 1 and the Western side of ground 2 at Albury will be operational from this Friday. The full lights on ground 2 will be not be ready until approximately 15th or 22nd June.
Games as scheduled for AHC 1 under lights from this Friday are able to be played.
For training purposes, we still need to negotiate with HAW about the usage as a number of clubs will continue to be impacted by the less than full availability. The use of ground 2 will depend on the level of lighting available. Stay close to your email for the update about where we are next Wednesday.
Minkey & Mini/U10 Hockey
Minkey and U10 hockey has commenced and is being held on Monday nights from 5.00pm to 6.00pm at the Albury fields. If you have kids or younger brothers or sisters who are interested in taking up hockey, this is a terrific opportunity to learn the basics of our great game in a safe and fun environment. Just show up on the night or let me know if you are interested.
Club Day
Clear your diary on Saturday 20 June as we have been scheduled to have most our games played on this day. This should be a great (and rare) opportunity for us to get together as a club and take the chance to see and support many of our club mates playing who we night not otherwise see.
Committee Meeting
Our committee meets again on Tuesday 19 May. All club members are of course welcome to attend or if you have any ideas or gripes you would like discussed, bend the ear of any of our committee members or send me an email with your thoughts.

Walk the new fields
To all members of Hockey Albury-Wodonga and their families
The Board of Management of Hockey Albury-Wodonga extend an invitation to all hockey players in the association to walk the new field with the Board prior to the Striker's game on the 2nd of May at 12:30.
The new fields have been laid and the Board will be present to discuss the fields, the time lines for what is happening and to give all the people who have put so much time and effort into making these fields a reality the chance to enjoy the field outside of a normal hockey game. Ownership of these fields belongs to every member of the Association and we delighted to offer this chance for everyone to take a moment to enjoy the fields and then to stay and enjoy an exciting round of State League hockey immediately after.
