Established at the current site, and officially opened in 1982, the Golf Club has been one the cornerstones of Wodonga's tourism industry in the region for many years.

Features include and 18 hole golf course, bowling greens and Pro Shop, as well as a newly renovated, modern style clubhouse. The clubhouse was officially re-opened on Friday, 16th of November, 2007.

The historical merger of Wodonga Country Club with SS&A Albury, was one of the most unusual relationships within the registered club industry, in that the Murray River separates the two entities. With the backing of the SS&A Albury and it's resources, the last few years has seen a period of unprecedented growth and prosperity.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting of the SS&A Wodonga Golf Club Incorporated (A0050134J) will be held in the Club premises, 10 Clubhouse Place, Wodonga at 10.00am on Sunday 21 March 2010.

The purpose of the Special General Meeting will be to elect office bearers for the remainder of the season.

Explanatory Note Regarding Special General Meeting

1.    At the SS&A Wodonga Golf Club Incorporated (the “Golf Club”) Annual General Meeting held on Sunday 29 November 2009 there were no appointments made for any of the positions on the vacant Executive Committee of the Golf Club.  Members in attendance were encouraged to nominate for positions on the Committee of the Golf Club. As no appointments were made at the meeting the Chairman of the Sporting Body declared the meeting closed.  Members were encouraged to discuss options to appoint committee members.

2.    At the Special General Meeting of its Members on 31 January 2010 Members were requested to consider a resolution to voluntarily wind up the legal entity of the Golf Club, with the intention that its management role be taken over by the Albury SS&A Club, due to the inability to find persons to act as members of the Committee.  Less than 75% of members in attendance voted in favour.  Resolution was not carried.

3.    A letter submitted by Members of the Club requests a Special General Meeting be held for the purpose of appointing office bearers of the Golf Club for the remainder of the season.

Election of members of the Committee as outlined in Rule 24, Election of officers and ordinary committee members.

Procedural Matters in Relation to Election of Officers and Ordinary Committee Members

1.    No item of business may be conducted without a quorum of 30 members personally present.
2.    Only full 7 day members, life members and Platinum members who have paid all their membership fees are entitled to attend and to vote in person at the meeting.
3.    Executive Members of the Committee can only be filled by a Platinum or 7 Day Member. Ordinary Members of the Committee can be filled by any category of membership except Country and Junior.
4.    If insufficient nominations are received to fill all vacancies on the committee, the candidates nominated shall be deemed to be elected and further nominations may be received at the Special General Meeting.
5.    If the number of nominations received exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, a ballot shall be held.
6.    No other business shall be conducted at the Meeting.

This meeting is convened under Rule 12.(5) at the request of Members of the SS&A Wodonga Golf Club.
